The possibilities for Bangladesh’s agriculture to be transformed through the use of autonomous agriculture have been explored by Harper Adams University and Bangladesh Agricultural University academics.

A K M Abdullah Al-Amin, an Elizabeth Creak Fellow at Harper Adams University (HAU) and Assistant Professor at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Professor James Lowenberg-DeBoer, Elizabeth Creak Chair in Agri-Tech Applied Economics at HAU and former president of the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA) and M. A. Sattar Mandal emeritus professor and former vice-chancellor of BAU, professorial fellow at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), and former member of Bangladesh Planning Commission have written for the Bangladesh Daily Star to examine the impact that using crop robots and other autonomous agriculture could have.
